What we believe
This page describes: what we believe , Our purpose, Our strategy.
What we believe
To be a Christian is to 'Repent' and receive forgiveness by putting your faith and trust in the Lord God and God's son Jesus Christ; and to live a life empowered by the "Holy. Spirit" according to God's grace received through Jesus Christ crucified on the cross for our sins.
As a Christians we believe in the infallibility and authority of God's written word the bible.
Christians believe that God is the creator of all and has always been in existence and will continue to exist without end. Has all power and ability and is always in all times and all places. God consists of "God the father" "God the son" and "God the Spirit" and together are as one.
Christians also believe that "God the son" came as a human baby and grew up and lived on earth and his name is Jesus Christ. The purpose of his time as a human was to make possible a way to restore back with "God the father" the relationship that was broken by our human selfishness which Christians call Sin.
Traditionally Christians will celebrate the Birth of Jesus Christ the son of God as a human on earth at Christmas time; and celebrate the instigation of a way to bring restoration of relationship between God the father and people, at Easter time. This event was the moment of the death of Jesus the man, who died as a criminal, but the crime committed was not his but ours. ( He paid the price for our sins )
Our purpose ( as a fellowship of believers )
Is to share the good news of the way back to God with people who have not yet understood this.
Also to meet together in a variety of ways to listen to Him and encourage each other in our personal relationship with God.
Also importantly our purpose is to make a material difference in the community where we are, and to be a practical influence for good. To work in ways to bring Godliness and restoration to people and their lives.
Our strategy ( both as an organisation and as individuals )
Listen to What God is saying to us and understanding what God is doing at this time and in this place. Following his guidance and direction, and living out our lives in step with what he is doing and in faith and obedience in practical ways.
